Ed Bloch, LSCSW
Ed has been a practicing licensed psychotherapist since 1989. For 10 years he was director of or consultant to inpatient/residential/and outpatient treatment programs specifically designed to treat eating disorders. He was an instructor for five years at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Psychology facilitating master level courses on counseling theory, counseling techniques, substance abuse, eating disorders diagnosis and treatment, and treatment of sexual trauma.
Since 2008 he has been transitioning as a professional from a talk therapist to a Brainwave Optimization technologist. Although he still enjoys and does some talk therapy he predominantly facilitates brainwave optimization sessions in the Life Enrichment Center's practice setting.
He believes that Brainwave Optimization offers a unique alternative to treatment that may dramatically assist individuals in their daily lives. Ed is passionate about altering the paradigm and demystifying emotional health issues. His blog is intended to educate about both mental health and Brainwave Optimization.
Jena Bloch, LCMFT
Jena has 18 years experience helping individuals and couples renew their lives. Jena received her Master's Degree in Psychology from Antioch University in Southern California with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Jena is co-director of the Life Enrichment Center, LLC in Lawrence, KS. After attaining her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Kansas State University, Jena spent 8 years in Southern California honing her counseling skills while working with eating disordered individuals. She worked with Monte Nido Treatment Facility, a residential eating disorder treatment program. Jena has served as a consultant to school districts, Beach Cities Health District, professional organizations, and has worked closely with dietitians and nutritionists in developing strategies and programs for overcoming disordered eating, including a unique workshop on Living Diet and Eating Disorder Free, a program that helps individuals escape the diet mentality and the diet merry-go-round.
Although still working passionately with individuals struggling with bulimia and compulsive eating Jena now works extensively with individuals struggling with a wide variety of emotional health issues and has many years of experience working with couples.
